Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida’s **Ben Kohles** is the 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am champion, closing out four days of Korn Ferry Tour competition across Thornblade Club and the Country Club of Spartanburg. The tournament — the Upstate’s signature professional golf event and the only Korn Ferry stop in South Carolina — wrapped its 2026 edition Sunday, June 7.

Officially titled the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX, the event has been a fixture of the Greenville-Spartanburg golf calendar for more than two decades and consistently ranks among the Korn Ferry Tour’s best-attended stops. Organizers estimated this year’s gallery at 50,000 spectators across the four competition days, with roughly 35 percent of attendees traveling from outside the Upstate and one in four of those visitors staying overnight in local accommodations — a meaningful economic contribution to area hotels, restaurants, and courses.

The Pro-Am format pairs Korn Ferry Tour professionals with amateur partners, including a steady mix of PGA Tour alumni, business leaders, and entertainers. The 2026 tournament again ran across two host courses — Thornblade Club in Greer, the longtime headline venue, and the Country Club of Spartanburg — with the final round contested at Thornblade.

For Kohles, the win delivers significant FedEx Cup-equivalent points on the Korn Ferry Tour points list and bolsters his case for a 2027 PGA Tour card. The Korn Ferry Tour serves as the primary developmental tour for the PGA Tour, with the top finishers on its season-long points list earning promotion at year’s end.

The 2026 tournament dates were June 4-7. The BMW Charity Pro-Am has historically been a top fundraising vehicle for Upstate charities, with proceeds benefiting a rotating slate of local nonprofits.
