# Clemson Office of Human Resources Announces Open Enrollment

## Open Enrollment for Insurance Coverage Begins October 1

The Clemson Office of Human Resources announced that Open Enrollment for insurance coverage will begin on Thursday, October 1, 2026. During this period, eligible employees can enroll in new coverage or make changes to their existing insurance, with all adjustments taking effect on January 1, 2027.

Employees have until October 31, at 11:59 p.m., to make any desired changes. If no changes are made by this deadline, employees will not be able to alter their coverage until the next open enrollment period, unless they experience a qualifying life event within 31 days. Those satisfied with their current elections, as displayed in PEBA MyBenefits, do not need to take action to continue their coverage in 2027, with the exception of MoneyPlus flexible spending accounts.

Participants in MoneyPlus must re-enroll annually to maintain their coverage. For 2027, health insurance premiums for active employees will not increase. Basic Dental and Dental Plus premiums will also remain unchanged, though state vision premiums are expected to see a slight increase. Employees wishing to enroll in or modify dental plans outside of this period must wait until Open Enrollment in October 2027, or within 31 days of a qualifying life event.

A dedicated Open Enrollment 2026 webpage will be launched soon, offering comprehensive information and resources regarding insurance coverage options. Prior to open enrollment, employees are encouraged to review their current insurance coverage through PEBA’s MyBenefits portal and to check current payroll deduction amounts via Workday. For assistance, PEBA offers support through phone, email, or video consultation, and representatives from the Clemson Office of Human Resources are available to answer general questions about open enrollment.
