Greenville, S.C. — Fall for Greenville returned Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. on Main Street after remnants of Hurricane Isaias washed out Saturday festivities across downtown.
Organizers cited safety concerns and deteriorating weather when they canceled the festival second day, then extended Sunday hours so restaurants could recover sales lost to the storm.
Sunday lineup featured more than 60 restaurants with 300-plus menu items, more than 50 beer taps and wine vendors, and live entertainment across seven music stages downtown.
Schedule additions after the Saturday washout included Jimmy Rodriguez bringing Mexican-style salsa to the Duke Energy Stage on the River at noon and Randomonium closing the weekend with an extended evening set.
The festival remained cashless, with a cash conversion tent outside City Hall on Main Street, while vendors accepted major credit and debit cards for bites, brews and stage-side crowds.
Neighborhoods along Main Street Greenville sit five to eight minutes from downtown cores such as Alta Vista, keeping festival crowds close to the city central corridor after the Upstate storm delay.
