Greenville, SC – The community in Greenville is coming together to honor the lives of two cherished residents, Porsha Holtzner and Bobbie Bagwell, both known for their spirit, love for family, and commitment to serving others.
Porsha Holtzner dedicated much of her life to the service of others, working in a lab to help the sick and volunteering at her daughters’ schools. She was particularly known for her creative talents, which included decorating, crochet, sewing, and baking. A passionate baker and cake decorator, Porsha won numerous local contests, showcasing her culinary skills and her joyful spirit as she often sang and danced, spreading happiness around her. Additionally, she was a skilled bowler, known as a “KingPin.”
Porsha’s greatest accomplishment was her profound faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which she cherished wholeheartedly. She is survived by her two daughters, Lashell Blackstone and Shantel Leyba, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her best friend, Ken Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Holtzner, and her eldest daughter, Consetta Maria.
Visitation for Porsha will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 1:00 PM, with her funeral service following at 2:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park. She will be laid to rest at 3:00 PM on the same day in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Bobbie Bagwell, who passed away recently, was born on September 28, 1930, in Anderson County, South Carolina. A loving wife and devoted mother, she was a faithful member of Edwards Road Baptist Church. Bobbie found joy in family and serving others, especially through her beloved macaroni pie. She worked at Stone Manufacturing Company for many years, forming lasting friendships along the way. After retiring, she dedicated her time to her grandchildren and spent cherished moments with her husband, a fellow Atlanta Braves fan.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter Kathy Sisk, her grandchildren, and great-granddaughters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Bagwell, and several siblings.
Services for Bobbie will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Edwards Road Baptist Church, beginning with visitation at 1:00 PM and the funeral at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory can contribute to Edwards Road Baptist Church.
The legacies of both Porsha and Bobbie will surely be felt throughout the community as friends and family commemorate their lives, filled with love, creativity, and service.
