Gourmet Grab-and-Go Market Planned for North Main Street

Greenville, SC – A new grab-and-go market called The Pantry by Emily’s Table is set to open on Main Street this October. Located at 241 N. Main St., below Menkoi Noodle House, the gourmet market will offer a variety of pocket foods, to-go meals, and lunch counter service.

Unique Concept and Menu

The Pantry aims to provide customers with high-quality, gourmet food options that can be enjoyed on the go. The menu will feature a range of delicious and convenient items, including soups, seasonal open-faced sandwiches, and specialty beverages.

“We wanted to create a space where people could quickly grab a delicious meal or snack without sacrificing flavor or quality,” said Emily Fournier, one of the owners. “Our goal is to offer a unique and elevated dining experience for those who are looking for something more than just fast food.”

A Collaborative Effort

Emily Fournier has partnered with chef Emily Maddy to bring The Pantry to life. Together, they have curated a selection of vendors to collaborate with on this project. Donovan Pottery will be providing ceramics for the market, and Raven + Lily, a certified B Corporation, will be selling jewelry and table items.

“We wanted to work with local vendors who share our passion for quality and sustainability,” said chef Emily Maddy. “By collaborating with these vendors, we can ensure that our customers are getting the best possible products while supporting local businesses.”

Phased Approach

The Pantry is just the first phase of Fournier and Maddy’s vision. They plan to expand the business in two additional phases, which will include an event space with a rooftop terrace and a full-service restaurant.

“We have big plans for The Pantry. We want it to be more than just a market. We want it to be a gathering place, a hub of culinary creativity,” explained Fournier. “By adding an event space and a restaurant, we can create a complete dining experience for our customers.”

Historic Aesthetic

In addition to the gourmet offerings, The Pantry will also feature a unique design that pays homage to Greenville’s history. The partners plan to enhance the building’s historic aesthetic with the addition of gas lanterns and glass.

“We want The Pantry to feel like a destination, a place where people can come to not only enjoy great food but also experience the charm and character of Greenville,” said Maddy. “By incorporating elements inspired by New Orleans, we hope to create a truly unique atmosphere.”

Excitement for the Future

The owners are thrilled to see their vision come to life after months of planning and preparation. With the approval of the city’s Design Review Board, The Pantry is on track to open its doors this October.

The Pantry by Emily’s Table will be a welcome addition to the vibrant culinary scene in downtown Greenville. With its gourmet grab-and-go options and unique market concept, it is sure to attract locals and visitors alike.
