Midtown’s Newest Treat: Parlor Doughnuts
Greenville’s food scene just got a whole lot sweeter with the recent opening of Parlor Doughnuts on May 5. Franchisees Van and Beverly Cline have finally opened the doors of this Indiana-based chain after a two-year wait. Known for their unique layered doughnuts that are more like pastries or cronuts, Parlor Doughnuts offers a wide variety of flavors and toppings to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Some of the delectable flavors on the menu include bourbon caramel, maple pecan, and lemonade. Located at 1901 Laurens Road, Parlor Doughnuts is open six days a week, from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Press Room’s Wonderland Experience
Last year, The Press Room in downtown Greenville wowed guests with its Après Ski Bar & Lounge pop-up. This week, the venue has transformed once again, this time into a whimsical wonderland inspired by “Alice in Wonderland” at Cheshire’s Hideaway in Camperdown. With themed cocktails and bites that pay homage to the classic novel, patrons can indulge in treats like a tea-time sandwich, zesty strawberry gazpacho, and wings fit for a mad hatter.
Located on the second floor of the AC Hotel Greenville by Marriott at 315 S. Main St., The Press Room offers cocktails with names like “Absolem the Wise” and “Off With Their Head,” each served in unique glassware that adds to the enchanting experience.
Chef-Curated Dinner for a Cause
Renowned South Carolina chef ambassador Mike Sibert is partnering with local nonprofit Mill Village Ministries for a special chef-curated and wine-paired dinner dubbed “It Takes a Village.” Taking place on May 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Southern Culture Kitchen & Bar, the event aims to raise funds for the nonprofit. Tickets are available for purchase online.
Weekend Farmers Markets Galore
The highly anticipated Greenville TD Saturday Market is back in action! Running from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday on Main Street until Oct. 26, the market features over 70 farmers and food vendors offering a wide selection of fresh produce and artisan goods.
