Born in Akron, Ohio, Palma was the daughter of the late John Dexter Henry and Edna Lawing Henry Marlowe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Conner, her sister Marlene Henry Gifford, and brothers-in-law Don Medley and Harold Gifford. Palma is survived by her daughter, Kim Conner Gaillard and her husband Clay, her grandchildren Eli and Katherine Gaillard, her sister Sandra Henry Medley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally, she is survived by her longtime companion Donnie Greer and his children, Christopher and Megan Greer, as well as his grandchildren, Aria and Xander.
Palma graduated from Converse College in 1970 and went on to make significant contributions to her community as a dedicated hotel manager at the Holiday Motel in Greer, S.C. After retiring from her role in the hospitality industry, she remained engaged with the local community by taking on the role of a substitute teacher.
