Beloved family musical ‘Peter Pan’ flies into Peace Center
The classic family musical “Peter Pan” is set to soar into the Peace Center on April 23, offering audiences a fresh take on the beloved story with some exciting new twists.

This production of “Peter Pan” breaks tradition by featuring a male teen, 17-year-old Nolan Almeida, in the iconic role of Peter. The new interpretation aims to cater to a modern audience.
Playwright Larissa FastHorse has updated the musical by transforming the Native Americans in the original show into refugees striving to preserve their indigenous cultures in Neverland.

Raye Zaragoza, who takes on the role of Tiger Lily, highlighted the character’s transformation in this production. She emphasized that Tiger Lily is now portrayed as a strong and empowered leader of the tribe, playing a pivotal role in the narrative.
Zaragoza mentioned that the tribe in this adaptation represents a diverse group from various parts of the world, united in their mission to uphold their indigenous heritage in Neverland.
New Showstopper

The cast of around two dozen performers delivers classic numbers such as “I’m Flying,” “I Gotta Crow,” “I Won’t Grow Up,” and “Neverland,” staying true to the essence of the beloved musical.
