Athletic Program Overview
Travelers Rest High School, located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Greenville County, has served the community since the early twentieth century and adopted the Devildog nickname in 1950 by a vote of the football team. The Devildogs compete in SCHSL Class 4A Region 2 alongside Blue Ridge, Greer, and Berea. The school’s SCHSL state championship history includes boys’ basketball titles in 1963 and 1964, boys’ tennis in 1969 and 1980, girls’ volleyball in 1986, and boys’ golf in 1998 and 2001.
