GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a woman who deputies say cut a store clerk with a knife while robbing Smoking Joe’s, a vape shop on Poinsett Highway.
Deputies were called to the shop at about 9:57 p.m. The woman walked in armed with a knife, asked for merchandise and started pulling items off the shelves, according to the sheriff’s office.
When the clerk stepped in to stop her, the knife slashed the worker across the hand. The suspect then ran off on foot. The clerk got medical treatment and is expected to recover, deputies said.
Deputies believe the woman is 25 to 40 years old. She was last seen in a blue shirt and blue sweatpants.
A search for her was still active late in the night, and no arrest had been announced. Anyone who saw her or knows who she is should call 911, the sheriff’s office said.
