A pedestrian died Friday night after an eastbound SUV hit him on U.S. 176 near Commerce Point Boulevard in Spartanburg County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol put the time at about 10:39 p.m. He was crossing the highway when the SUV struck him.
He died at the scene. The driver was not injured.
